Logs
A fun morning traipsing around Watsons Bay and Vaucluse chasing down unloved caches.
Headed to Sydney for weekend away with fitzy_1965.
We picked up both GC and GCA caches along the way.

Another beautiful example of Sydney's concrete elevated water reservoirs. Walked around the streets trying to get the best view but couldn't see the trig point, must be up there somewhere. I could see this water reservoir from Bradleys Head when I was there a couple of weeks ago. TFTT.

It's city2surf time and we are walking. Oh my right I see a tower. High enough to be a trigpoint, let me check. Yups! 3h11m, a new record for this trio.
in the area for work - I could see the water tower just up the road. Had to look around a bit for a spot where I could see the stub (no vanes).
Found at 2.53pm.

Found while island-hopping-between-caches around the harbour, this time at Shark Island. Yeah, I know it's kinda long range, but it's so visible from a distance I couldn't NOT include this on my big day of GCA finds.
1445 On my way to the lighthouses nearby I stopped to photograph the water reservoir with the stump of the trig visible, but no vanes today.

#GA573 - 14:10; After a swing through Bondi and Watson's Bay, the geohoney and I were heading for home via a large shopping emporium at Drummoyne. As we were making our way there, we happened past this trig for another find, making eleven for the day and fifteen for the trip. Gotta be hapy with that! TFTC Geocaching Australia

Last Eastern Suburbs trig for the morning before heading out to Westmead to visit Spindoc Bob. Tricky to find the spot to see the top but it's up there according to Rog so good enough for me!

Driving past today on the way back from a call to Watsons Bay, I stopped to photo the lighthouse with the iPhone/GPSr combo!
While in the general area I thought I should get shot of the 'Vaucluse' reservoir and the Trig there.
It proved a bit of a challenge to find a suitable spot and the mast and grey painted vanes are well obscured by all the aerials, antennas and warning lights around it, but you can just make out the mast and vanes below the warning light and attached solar panel.
