These are a little rarer than the old stone, wood and metal trigs. Nice to see a pin and a number plate to go with the carved arrow. Oh the history.

Out on a cache run to pick up a nearby fishy GC mystery. Travelled the short distance to this trig which was easily found.
Wow great spot with top views. Found the plug and plate and enjoyed the serenity. Come visit!

Came to the area to visit someone today so I made a couple of small detours to find this Trig and Castlecrag Trig. TFTT.

Decided to continue my trig finding by heading out to this one as well. After circumnavigating it on the road parked and found the path to the top. A nice and easy find, I bet most people would walk straight past not recognising the significance.
I had to visit a site in Byora Crescent earlier this week, across the road from the trig. I even walked through the park but I wasn't looking for the trig. When i got back to the office I checked and found that there was a trig there. So today, whilst doing another site inspection in Northbridge, I made a small detour to the trig. Nice old northpoint.
Found at 9:13 am.

Decided to find a few of the old trig sites along the harbour today. First found was Middle Cove, then Castlecrag and Northbridge was last.

Got motivated enough to go for this old trig (pre 1895) for my trig number #450.
Sadly the beautiful reserve has been devastated by fire, I fail to see how this could be anything but deliberate vandalism. Such a sad sight I managed to get to the top of the rocks there and found the original convict arrow carved in the sandstone pointing to the drill hole where a stainless steel plug was placed in 1979.
The name plaque has long gone, but the much older number plaque is still there.
Gorgeous view from up here, but not as welcoming as it once was, let hope this area regenerates soon.
