Beautiful day to log a Trig.

A quick find while out in the Lugarno area collecting GC caches for Geosports.
This was an interesting find as the old trig vanes (? Not sure if this is the right terminology here) were at ground level while a new set was on top of the tower above the mobile phone transmitters.
Photos of both old and new included with this log.

In the area for gumtree reasons, so a quick trig was the order of the day. Back soon, I hope. Nice area.

#GA2260 - 12:30; After a few days in Sydney with the geohoney and a couple of the in-laws, the time had come to head for home again. This was the last trig stop on what proved to be a poorly planned route out of town, which meant I had to back track to collect the trigs which should have been numbers one and two Brick Wall Anyway, I got to this one in the correct order and soon had the snaps needed for the find. Out caching with... just myself! Making the area of Lugarno unsafe Smile

Nice one towering on top of three antennas.

29-Aug-17
Heading to Sydney today for a doctors appointment so started early to grab a few trigs. Managed 10 for the day. Doctor done so time for number 8! Another quick park and snap.

In Sydney for a couple of days to grab a few moveables and snare a couple of trigs. First trig for the day...and an interesting one.

Turns out the Telstra guys were installing a new mobile tower on the reservoir...and there was the trig, complete with the vanes, firmly attached to the mobile thingys. (technical term there...)

Good to see the trig has/will survived....

It has taken a long time for me to decide to go and find this one but today was the day and 2 trains and a bus later here I was.
A different construction from the usual mast and vanes Trig, not sure how it would be used with the microwave antennas around it!

first to photograph on a nice sunny day.
An easy trig to find on top of a water tower, right on the side of the road so no trouble to get to.
