Description

This yellow trig is a little bit harder to get close to than the one just down the road.

You can get a smiley by getting a good photo with GPS in hand by standing near the road.

For the adventurous, you will need to jump the fence near what looks like a access area just off the road and then make your way carefully to what looks like a vehicle track that takes you right past the trig.

It doesn't look like a hard or long walk and you do get a bit of cover from the trees if you think that you shouldn't be here.

When I was here the ground was a bit wet down low but fine higher up.

However, draw four encourages safe and responsible geocaching so by all means get your smiley from near the road.

Have never seen a Yellow trig before.

Anyone know the significance??

Using the Survey Marks Enquiry Service (SMES), the details for this trig have being acquired.
The cache will be renamed from the former "Yellow Trig 2" to the official "TANJIL EAST PM 26".

Almost a drive-by, but not quite. I bush-bashed a short distance, and then slipped through the fence and walked the rest of the way. TFTC.

#GA2152 - 07:55; Day two of a caching run through eastern Victoria with Sol de lune to build on our July trip further to the west. After a night in Traralgon, today sees us head through the Latrobe Valley, Baw Baw, South Gippsland and on to the Bass Coast before heading north through Cardinia, Yarra Ranges into Murrundindi and an overnight in Alexandra. After an early start we had our first find for the day out of the way and headed to this one. We decided on the direct approach and parked the geomobile before making the climb up the bank. It was a bit tricky with all the damp grass, but we made it unscathed and the required snaps were taken. The return leg was a bit interesting as we struggled to maintain our footing. Once at the bottom, I realised I'd lost my glasses, so it was back up again. Luckily I spotted them quickly and we were on our way again. TFTT Geocaching Australia Very HappyClan Cerberus

Climbed up the slope from the road below and soon had the required photo snapped. Bit of fun getting up, but worth the effort.

bad photo but another trig find on the way home.

I've driven past this TP countless times as this is the 'back way' that all locals know about and I've come to know as part of my blending into the neighbourhood (I've only lived here 7 years, I'll never be considered a local and my kids, both born here, won't either. It's three generations or nothing it seems). Either way, I can see why this isn't visible from the road. I considered the fence-jump option but so much barbed wire and short-shorts were not compatible so I took the road option. I followed the compass after seeing nothing and eventually spotted it through the now-thick brush. In the photo, it's only visible when you look just next to Seeka's nose. Another trig in Victoria that has had a name change since I last loaded the trigs into my GSAK database.
Did a U-turn down the road, and came back for this one. A lot of traffic for half past eight at night! Must be change of shift at the nearby power station.
Scrambled my way through to the "Yellow 2" trig, but again found it hard to get a good photo with the flash.

A drive by trig. TFTT

MY GPS was navigating towards the trig down the road, so it was lucky I spotted this one as I was driving. There was plenty of room to park just west of the trig. I bush bashed my way up the steep hill and made it within a few meters of the Trig. I have no idea why it's yellow

Day 6 of this year's GVBR passed by this trig point and its neighbour so I decided to stop by for a look. A mixture of blackberries and bracken were playing havoc with my legs Shocked but I was soon within a few metres of GZ for the money shot at 08:50.

Thanks draw four.
