I looked at the gallery for this and figured I was looking for a post in a field. There were plenty of posts in the field but none that looked like a CORS. I drove up and around and also checked out the dam lookout with the cool mosaic, drove by twice, and even pulled up on the grass at the bus stop, but couldn't figure it out. Are the transportable buildings here new? Was it there? Oh well. DNF for me then.
The kids are doing some trig hunting while stopping at Port Macquarie for breakfast. Tricky one to see. had to resort to a previous log again. Might need to start carrying binoculars.
After a morning chasing caches and a snake at Blackmans Point, some trigs were up for grabs..... I enjoyed this one, very tricky to spot, but noted left of the weather station, to the right of the buildings from the main road......

Came to PMQ to hand over some Dual turntables and had a great time finding all the trigs. Once the trigs were done, I concentrated on traditional caches. Trigs come first!

Pulled up onto the grass off the main road and spotted the trig next to the weather station. In our photo it is to the left of the station and is the tallest of the bits and pieces there.
Thanks.
Thanks.
#3863 - 08:15; On the way home from the Gold Coast with the geohoney and we stopped for the night at Port Macquarie. Decided to collect a few of the local caches on an earlyish morning run. This stop presented the greatest challenge to find a spot with a view to the CORS. Managed to find a park to fire off a couple of snaps before heading back towards the CBD. TFTT Geocaching Australia

A little tricky to l locate and get a good photo. Another trig point find. TFTC
Heading into Port Macquarie for a stop over and lunch on the way home. First time in the area and I managed to snap 7 trigs all up. Gotta be happy with that.
This one took a bit to spot, however looking through the fence you can see the silver pole with the CORs sitting atop it.

Out and about today hunting down all the trigs around Port. This one is impossible to get to without an illegal fence jump.
Found while on a drive during a visit to family in Wauchope. It was not easy to locate and photograph.
I was up in Port Macquarie for a family reunion, so a chance to grab some caches too. This one was on the list. As this one is fenced off, a long shot was required.

With having an appointment cancelled at Port I thought that I would try and get the remaining trigs that I hadn't got already. I walked to the gates of the dam and pressed the button for entrance, but it seems that it may need a vehicle present to allow the relay to work. I went on to try for Rosendahl trig after taking a photo from >100 m away from the CORS.
When I came back I drove to the button and was allowed in. But the appropriate gentleman was out for lunch so I ended up coming back later.
The Port Macquarie CORS is right outside his window, and he let walk around the back for a close-up photo of it.
I also took a photo of some trig poles and vanes that had been collected from various trigs that can't be used because of the heavy regrowth around them (they were sitting out in the car park).
