Why I have not grabbed a photo of this on previous visits to PM I don't know ... but now done!
The kids are doing some trig hunting while stopping at Port Macquarie for breakfast. First CORS we have found so it took us a while because we weren't sure what to look for. Used a previous log to find the correct spot.
Wet weather caching and trigging while trapped by the floods. Not often you get drive by trigs!
After a morning chasing caches and a snake at Blackmans Point, some trigs were up for grabs..... I do enjoy a CORS hunt - thanks.....
Came to PMQ to hand over some Dual turntables and had a great time finding all the trigs. Once the trigs were done, I concentrated on traditional caches. Trigs come first!

#GA3867 - 08:40; On the way home from the Gold Coast with the geohoney and we stopped for the night at Port Macquarie. Decided to collect a few of the local caches on an earlyish morning run. This was the last stop for the morning's mission, and after collecting a snap of the ABC studios across the road I came over to the Council Chambers for another CORS. Quickly spotted it on arrival and soon had a snap as well. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Found the cache. Easy find. I had been visiting Port Macquarie. See photo. Didn't realise this was here at the time of finding GC caches.

Out and about today hunting down all the trigs around Port. We were able to stop right underneath it and take a quick pic.
A quick find wile on a caching run after being cooped up on a very wet Boxing Day. The council seemed very quiet today.
Today we located the Hasting Council CORS. The required photo has been added to the Gallery. Thanks Geocaching Australia for the cache.
I was up in Port Macquarie for a family reunion, so a chance to grab some caches too. This one was on the list. A nice easy one.

Wandering around the streets of Port Mac and spotted this unmistakable antenna - or whatever these things are called. Happy to find it after a DNF at a previous attempt. Don't know why we didn't find it, its obvious enough!

A group of us headed north to Port Macquarie over the weekend for the Geocaching NSW Association annual invasion event to somewhere. Port Macquarie was the choice this year, previous years have seen Nowra, Port Stepehens and Mudgee (though the Blue Mountains bushfires stopped most people getting to that one).
This ended up being diagnolly opposite from my motel so after checking in and putting the beer in the fridge went over to make the find. Easy to see from the driveway behind that provides access to the parking.

After checking with the Council we know where this is but have we captured it? This is our attempt which wasn't easy due to trees and buildings.
Staying in Port for the night on the way back to Sydney. Drove over and at first thought it was the aerials that was the trig point, but then reading the other log and spied the Trig up on the roof. I think this is right. Took some photos. Nice to do some Trigs from out of my area

No idea what I am looking at. Could be a trig, could be an antenna - who knows. Anyway we were there.

2100 Was up to fill a hole in the GC caching Calendar, and thought I'd have a go at finding a couple of newly published 'Trigs'.
Initially I took a photo of the entrance into the Council, but when I had a closer look at the GPSr I noticed that the radio aerial wouldn't be anywhere near where the trig point is. So went for a walk around the side of the building, and am sure that what I could see from ~6m below was the surveyors sight marker.
(Had gone to GP Port first up, but there still too many muggles parked there !!)
