Heading back home, hopefully not to another flood. Just wanted to stop by 2 TSs to change the colour of the dragonZone to griffin gold Clan Griffin . I know it will only be temporary, but hey, it looks good when it happens. Haha.

No problems spotting this one as I drove by while staying in Port this week.

20-Dec-21
Set off for home a bit later that normal because the grandparents don't do early mornings any more. The kids are doing some trig hunting while stopping at Port Macquarie for breakfast.

This was an easy find for the crew who spotted the vanes from a few streets away. Still wary from the last trig, we stopped immediately to grab a photo before driving closer and getting a snap from right in front of the building.

Dayboro trip. Day 3. I was supposed to be in Port Macquarie, but could not because of the floods affecting the van parks. This did not stop me driving down from Waughope for a day around town caching. Plenty of evidence of the devastating floods, I think only one of my DNFs would have been caused by the floods. I was looking for a puzzle cache today, it took three trys, the first failed due to my ladder being too short. After a full day I did some shopping and then found time for logging after dinner in Waughope.

As I was driving past I stopped here for an image.

Thanks.

was out and about in PMQ

19-Jan-20
After a morning chasing caches and a snake at Blackmans Point, some trigs were up for grabs.....

03-Jan-20
Came to PMQ to hand over some Dual turntables and had a great time finding all the trigs. Once the trigs were done, I concentrated on traditional caches. Trigs come first!

#GA3865 - 08:30; On the way home from the Gold Coast with the geohoney and we stopped for the night at Port Macquarie. Decided to collect a few of the local caches on an earlyish morning run. After collecting the trig at the reservoir, I could see this one on my way back out, just needed to find the way over to it. Wasn't long before I was on the right track and soon had the snap I needed before heading off back towards the hotel for the last couopkle on the list for this morning's mission. found while visiting the hospital.

Heading into Port Macquarie for a stop over and lunch on the way home. First time in the area and I managed to snap 7 trigs all up. Gotta be happy with that. No issues here and this one was spotted.

This was the last trig for us to find in Port, parking was an absolute nightmare, it's probably wise to go on the weekend when it's less busy. Smile

06-Jan-18
A quick find while on the hunt for GCA caches.

08-Sep-17
stopped the carpark behind the old hospital. went early before it got busy. easy to spot

The hardest part of completing this cache was getting a park. In the end, we double parked whilst the required photo was taken. The trig point beacon was clearly seen from the road. The required photo has been added to the Gallery. Thanks Geocaching Australia for the cache.

I was up in Port Macquarie for a family reunion, so a chance to grab some caches too. This one was on the list.

14-Feb-15
A group of us headed north to Port Macquarie over the weekend for the Geocaching NSW Association annual invasion event to somewhere. Port Macquarie was the choice this year, previous years have seen Nowra, Port Stepehens and Mudgee (though the Blue Mountains bushfires stopped most people getting to that one).

Nice easy photo from part way up Butler Lane.

The best spot for a photo had people gathered there so grabbed this one from the road through the trees. If you look real hard you can see the black circle between the tree branches. Thanks.

Years ago we came here when it was the hospital but in those days we wouldn't have known a trig if it'd fell off and hit us on the head.

26-Aug-12
Now there is a trig that is recognisable!

2300 Not sure that this TrigPoint should be called Port Macquarie Hospital, as I worked at Port Macquarie Hospital (well, it was 1995 - 1997), and it wasn't here!!
This complex had been called Hastings District Hospital, with Port Macquarie Base Hospital being built in the early 90's.
Stopped by on my way home from grabbing a couple of caches for the GC Caching Calendar. Not the best photo, may try again on a day!
