Poor old trig.... We were up here chasing squids, with a pair of trigs and an ICEM thrown in....
After a rather rainy morning walking in the Nattai National Park followed by some retail therapy in Bowral I decided to find some trigs before heading back to Sydney (plsu the sun came out). Even though it was after 5pm I thought I'd see if I could slog up the hill to this trig (and the next one) before dark. Not much here but a pile of rocks but the nearby lookout was nice.

Been a while since anyone was here, however the trig (rocks) are still there and easy to find....it's just a short, sharp climb to get here.

Walked back and forth for a few minutes and realised what i was walking past.

Came up to Mt Alexandra to find two caches and this trig. All found. A little bushing it but was easy enough. Lovely walks up here.

Came up here to check the views from the lookout, and bonus, found a trig (or what's left of it) as well!
After a rather tough slog up the hill in a rather unconventional way, it was a bit disappointing to only find a pile of rocks. The views near by certainly made up for that though.
Unfortunately not much left of this trig now, just some rocks at the side of the track. Some great views from the near by lookout.

It is a steep walk but well worth it! The trig itself fading to rubble but the nearby lookout is great. Warm afternoon for a hike but had the place to myself and great views from the top.

We spotted this old cairn on our way up to the GC cache at the lookout, and wondered if it was the remains of a trig. So a quick check of the mobile site on my phone, and confirmation that this was indeed all that is left of an old trig. Bonus, we also found that there was a GCA traditional at the lookout as well
I needed a break on my long drive home from the central west so took a detour here. Parked in the car park and picked up the nearby GC cache then headed up the hill to find this poor old pile of rocks. Then went to the lookout to grab the GCA cache, the GC cache then across to Alexandra trig. A cache rich environment with a view thrown in.

Been to this one before, but forgot to log. Nabbed today while doing the nearby GC.
Thanks
Thanks
Found this trig a while ago but forgot to log it. As noted not a lot left, just a pile of rocks. The lookout nearby with tables is worth visiting though.
A great trig, eventhough there is not much left. The walk is very nice and interesting and there are fantastic views not far from the trig.

Took the opportunity of combining this trig with maintenance of my nearby ICEM cache & grabbing the moveable from down below. A sad old pile of rocks which I had passed on previous visits but never given them a second thought. Thanks.

Found with blossom* after enjoying the nearby views and a walk to Alexander Trig too
The nearby lookout is really amazing! So we stopped by this little pile of stones on the way back, all that remains of the original cairn sadly.
After doing the 'Alexandra' Trig I thought to try and find this old cairn, I first went to the 'Katoomba Lookout' and who would have thought that you could actually see Katoomba from Mittagong!
I did make it harder than it should have been the GPS said I was only 60 metres away so I decided to bush bash to GZ, quite an easy walk in fact but as it turned out the cairn remnants is right on the edge of a side track so i could have walked along the track right to it!
A sad sight with little left of the original cairn.
