Having spent the morning grabbing a whole series of Challenge caches in the Marulan area, we dropped some of the team off at their home before heading home ourselves. Thiese photos were snapped as we drove down the street. TFTT Geocaching Australia.
Sophoutloud and I stayed the night in Goulburn on our way to Canberra and thought it was mandatory to do a little sight seeing and trig nabbing before leaving town, managed to grab 3 before leaving. We went up close to this one but town was to busy to get a park so ended up taking a bit of a long shot to be able to see it.

Out on an adventure in Golbourn. Time to visit all the local high points! Not the best photo because of the Crain in the background but the best view that we could get

An easy CORS to photograph. Some lovely buildings to admire in the street, and I loved the yarn bombed dogs and Town Hall. TFTC.

Passing through town and we after grabbing a bite to eat we stepped outside and took and photo of the Goulburn CORS from the main street of Goulburn.
travelling home to Sydney from Canberra took a detour through Goulburn to take a happy snap of this trig. I was able to get a car park almost opposite the building stepping out on to the side walk to take the picture

Stopped at Goulburn for breakfast on a drive down to Canberra had a nice meal across the road and going back to my car took a happy snap with my camera. Good job I had my 300mm lens on to get a good snap. Thanks for the trig

I got lucky with the traffic lights while going through town.

We located this CORS while we were getting lunch in the main street of Goulburn. Two photos have been added to the Gallery: a distant view with Mrs y'stassie in the foreground and the CORS antenna on the corner of a NSW government building; a closer view of the CORS antenna on the corner of the building. Thanks Geocaching Australia for the cache,
Dropped off a child at soccer so detoured past here on the way back home.

Easy spot from across the street while in town for the GCNSW invasion event!

Found it I thought I had logged this CORS, but it seems I haven't. So I finally found this on a recent Goulburn trip for an event.

while on my way to the Canberra bridge event we stayed overnight at Goulburn. After dinner I was allowed to do a couple of caches.
The first one was nice and easy at the visitor center. The second one was a trigpoint and the third one is the multi near market street. The end point of the multi brought me to Victoria park where I saw the velodrome cache and two containers. It was dark....
Thanks for the adventure!

I had to scramble to get this photo as I'd just run into some local cachers and we were off to find the GZ of the only multi in the town, and as they didn't know about GCA yet I got on with the photo and explained a bit more about other caching options during our brief meeting.

#GA591 - 10:25; I was passing through Goulburn on the way to Nowra to refuel the geomobile and decided to get this trig off the 'to do' list on the way through. It was dark on my last venture through this way, so couldn't produce the money shot. No problems today though and after snagging a park near GZ, the pic was in the can. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Found 7:12pm. Travelling on my commute between the Central Coast and Canberra. Decided to do a nearby GC cache to keep a streak going and therefore might as well do this GCA CORS. Did this one before moving onto the GC cache. First could see the CORS from where I parked. But the distance was too much for the torch to light up. So moved closer to almost across the road. The torch could light up the CORS on the building. Again iPhones are not great for photos so excuse the not so good quality.
Oh and there seemed to be nearby some good meal deals on offer...

Another one of these CORS trigs. I am not always sure what the "thing " looks like. I have to look at others photos and then try and find a matching item! Sometimes others take photos of different structures so I am still none the wiser!

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1056 - 10380 overall cache finds.
Found during a run with ACBC66 and AwesomeL. While I mainly looked for GC caches, when an easy GCA cache comes along we go for that as well. Trigs are particularly nice to track down and find. I was very happy when they became part of the GCA cache family. Its especially satisfying if you have made a big climb up for one ! I have also now joined dragonZone in Clan Cerberus, so there are more reasons to find those GCA caches. Its interesting to find the many different types of trigs. From the traditional metal legs and vanes, to the concrete base with vanes, to the ones on top of water tanks (especialy the red ones !), as well the new CORS type. When you look on a GCA map and see all those hundreds and hundreds of blue 'Z's it shows just how many there are out there. Shame so many are on private property and cannot be accessed at all. So as far as I'm concerned every trig that can be found and photographed is a real bonus !
Gathering some info for a Canberra Mystery when I remembered a CORS was in town - so while doing the nearby Town Pride Multi I grabbed the required photo.
Piccie taken and posted.

Staying in Goulburn overnight and out walking to a Thai cafe I know so decided to walk this way and grab a quick photo. Notice the ornamental owl on the top of the brickwork next door.
On our way to Penrith and stopped for a walk and a break. Quick pic and on with the walk.
Coming through Goulburn's main street today on the trip back home we pulled up over the road for a coffee. Managed to grab a selfie, and have circled the CORS antenna on the front of the blue building. There seem to be a couple of different antenna types used for these. Cheers.
Hmmm, not as aesthetically pleasing as a nice trig on a hill, but I didn't have to get out of the car, so I guess that's the silver lining.

Stopped through Goulburn to grab Rossi Reservoir trig and some bread at Bryants just across the road from this CORS. I thought it was meant to be on the PO but the coords indicated the blue building and I got a shot from near the Paragon Cafe. Another CORS.
Well I wasn't sure what to expect and I couldn't see previous photos so I shot and hoped for the best. Luckily I took a photo of the right thing.
Nice to have a "cache" in the middle of the main street in Goulburn. Spectacular weather today and luckily this one was easy visible from the street.

I was out for a day's run to Goulburn with Agent Basil and Sol de Lune. These provide something a bit different. It's hard to photograph well from a distance but it's there in my photo right above the Australia Post sign!
No problems seeing the item in question and the required photo's were soon grabbed.

FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Not sure whether this one shouldn't be archived - you can't get up on the building to prove what you are seeing or get an angle where you can show GPS and receiver at the distance
