We're staying in Mascot overnight for an early morning flight, and had a couple of spare hours this afternoon, so headed out across to Randwick/Coogee and Clovelly for some trigs (6), nabbed a few caches we found nearby too.
This one was a bit of a challenge, the reservoir has been developed around very closely. we ended up finding a vantage point on a raised footpath in St Pauls St. The mounting post for the trig is visible.

#GA258 - 17:05; I was in Sydney today and after dropping the geohoney, geoteen and friend off for some retail therapy in the city, I decided to head to the eastern suburbs for a bite to eat and a little caching. I had collected three GC caches and had some lunch when I noticed a nearby trig. Bagged the first and noticed another trig nearby, so headed over to this one. Parked the geomobile and circumnavigated the target, managing to get a couple of shots with the target poking its head up in the background. TFTC Geocaching Australia

At first I thought this one was gone, after a drive around the block. Then I realised the vane was missing!

Spotted this while getting a nearby mystery cache. Easy to spot but impossible to get a photo!?!
This one was unexpected but still a welcome find. The square steel post with the instrument mounting platform is still there, but the mast and vanes have now gone they were still there in 2009. It is interesting to note that the photo shows the name plaque on the post.
