Off on a mid week break with Just a cacher to enjoy the sunshine and follow the river for a while when we noticed that this cache was nearby.

After finding a spot to pull over with a view of the trig it was a quick grab and then on our way again.

Thanks for the trig.

Out with Black Bunny for a midweek break and spotted this one as we were passing.

A quick grab here today.

Thanks for the trig.

We had been away rock climbing at Mt Arapiles near Horsham. Unfortunately my climbing partner had an injury that lead us to not be able to finish our week of climbing and we were looking for another way to make the trip home longer and more interesting so we decided to get a string of trigs and caches on the way. This one was nice and easy to see from the road and a quick stop and the trig photo was snapped. tftc

This one fitted in perfectly for my E in February.
It was awfully hot when we stopped for this one, and as soon as dalerious had taken the photo we headed for the nearby KFC to enjoy their very efficient air conditioning as well as a meal, before the hot drive home.

For some reason this refused to load on my Garmin; not in my bulk load, or individually. I removed the file and loaded it again. I tried several times, but although the file was there, my Garmin wouldn't see it. No problem with other trigs, etc; only this one. In the end, I wrote down the coordinates and when in Echuca loaded the coordinates to find this. Really, really weird Rolling Eyes. Anyway photographed and logged now. TFTC.

Well...

If I'd known that was what I was looking for, I'd have logged this one months ago. But that's fine; a log is a log, and it gave us a good starting point for today's caching adventures.

Thanks, Geocaching Australia, for another interesting place to visit.

#GA1834 - 18:05; Day one of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. We headed over to Coolamon then south through Jerilderie and Finley before heading west to Deniliquin and then on to Wanganella before heading back through Deni and on to Mathoura, Moama and then Echuca where the caching finished on dark. Grabbed a bite to eat on the way through Bendigo and on to Creswick, which will be home base for the week. We had now crossed the border collecting a few caches in Echuca before heading off for home base. This was the last stop for today before refuelling and heading off for home base. All a bit of a mystery as it doesn't look like a familiar trig but here goes.
Hope the shot is from the an acceptable angle

24-May-14
we sat in the car while dad told us all about the electronic doohicky that talked to the GPS, I nodded as if it all made sense.

24-May-14
Well after a discussion and re-reading the cache notes 3 times we decided that we had found this at the local DSE office. An unmarked locator but clearly visible at the back of the building

28-Jun-13
Bit different from the types of trigs we are used to in Tassie that usually involve a fair hike up a hill or mountain. Thanks.

22-Apr-13
Another unusual trig, no high hill to climb here!

29-Mar-13
Spotted this one easily as we drove towards GZ. We're getting better at these with a bit of practice!

27-Jan-13
Found 3.35pm
I have done many trigs but not see one like this before, somehow it does not seem the same without the large black crossed vanes.

06-Jan-13
Looking around the building and yes, eventually looked up - I guess it's the gadgetry on top!!
Showing my age when I expect trig points to be discs on top of mountains LOL
Rolling Eyes

17-Nov-12
Found a few weeks back, forgot to log.

02-Nov-12
I found my first CORS station in Yass a few weeks back and followed up on a few more along the road home.

Lo and behold a CORS station exists in my home town and it hasn't yet been published on GCA.

Well, that's now fixed and I can claim a FTF on it. Dancing
