We ducked out into the western lake areas for some trigs this afternoon, grabbing 5 in beautiful weather, even snared a GC trad whilst we were out....
We followed team novo's advice for this one, taking the sealed Gradwells approach, parking outside the colliery, and walking up the last bit of Hawke Mount Rd for an easy find. You could come here for three trigs in one pic too, with the stacks from the power station in the background...

Heading north today to Maitland and then up to Congewai to celebrate novo freedom day!
Well I made this an adventure by wrongly typing Hawke Mount Road into the phone instead of Gradwells Road! By the time I'd gotten about 2kms up the road, the road had turned into a boggy 4WD trail and then by the time I'd gotten to Hawke Mount Road north, it was definitely 4WD only! Anyway, eventually made it up to the trailhead for the TS where a gate had me on foot for the last 100m or so. The trig is in poor condition with everything including the nameplate long gone. Once back to the geocar I decided to continue east to Gradwells Road for an exit only to reach a big white gate! So I had to go all the way back to Newport Road the way I came in. If you are looking to do this cache the hard way - do what I did lol. TFTC.

Another day of trig hunting around the west side of the lake. Cloudy and wet start to the day, but turned out a beautiful sunny winters day
With a day off, what better way to spend it than to get out and find some unfound trigs. Thanks GA, love the trigs.

After all the rain that we have had around Sydney over the last few days it has been good to have a bit of nice weather today. Decided on a drive up the Central Coast & Lake Macquarie after some of the trigs along the way where there are a few clumps around. In the end I got to 25 trigs after that there was a long drive and I ended up getting home at about 8pm.
The eighteenth one I looked for was Eraring in Lake Macquarie district
Thanks for the trig took the required photo

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers and Whitewebbs for a day of caching. This get it was on our to do list. TFTC
I only recently discovered this unpublished Trig, so what else could I do but go and check it out!
It is indeed there but the mast and vanes are long gone as is the name plaque. This area seem to be a favorite with Mountain and Dirt Bikers so that might explain it.
Interesting to note that you get a near perfect view of the 2 Trigs "Eraring Chimney North & South" from this spot.
