Out doing some cache maintenance with rogerw3, and he pointed out this trig as we were passing. There was a Kestrel flying nearby the trig, so I got to photograph it too! TFTT

Very easy to see from the road from s fsir distance. Unfortunately with the trailer and traffic behind us it was too hardyo pull over safely so we had to get a blurry moving shot.
Was continuing on my caching run in the greater caves area & today was on my way to the dam – a nice distance shot taken from main road – thanks again

#GA2364 - 16:05; Day two of the summer sojourn in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney and today a trip to Jenolan Caves was the order of business. Made our way down to the caves from Leura after breakfast in Katoomba on the way through. I was surprised at the speed limits as we made our way along the Great Western Highway, but they were certainly appropriate given the nature of the roads. Ended up behind a tourist on the Jenolan Caves Road, which was quite interesting when they overtook two cars stopped at a traffic control stop before they saw the traffic controller Anyway, we managed to pass safely before the steep descent started After an interesting tour of the Orient Cave, we headed on towards Oberon and stopped off to grab a snap of this trig as we passed. Spotted while on a 2 day run through Oberon and Bathurst. You can see the trig from the road, just looking into the sun makes it a bit harder.....
Photos grabbed and all was good.

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1323. Found during a run up to the Oberon, Bathurst and Orange regions with minniek.
A weekend run up through the Oberon, Bathurst and Orange regions to tackle a number of puzzle series, lots of trads, plus a number of trigs as well. Although there were a number of DNFs, in all the caches were nicely placed with good coords. Glorious weather certainly added to a very fun weekend. An early departure with a few quick stops along the way saw us soon at Oberon to start the campaign in ernest. A nice drive out to this side of town past the dam (happy about the three-for-one there) and negotiating the road works in the area. Once there of course it was a quick stop for the required photos, admired the views, then it was off to the next one. Photo of the trig attached.
Another nice trig to add to the collection. Really enjoy finding these in all sorts of odd places, including the new CORS type which seem to be popping up in every country town plus the big cities.
TFTC !!

Spotted this one travelling from Oberon to Edith. Took the best shot i could.

Visible, barely, from different places along Edith Road - well set back on a hill on private property. In full glory of mast and vanes (and no doubt a name plate).

Mudgee trip 2013. Despite being a long shot from the road it is clearly visible. Thanks

One of 22 finds today, as rogerw3 and I travelled throughout the Oberon area, chasing both trigs and ordinary GC caches.
Had to photograph this one from the road, because it sits on a hill on private property.
You can see it pretty well, but of course we'd have loved to see if the name plaque was intact.
Still, a good find . . .

Trig number #4 found with pjmpjm on our Oberon caching day.
This one is on private property on top of the hill, this paddock is currently being used for cattle, so no jumping the fence!
In any case the Trig is easily visible from the road so no problems.
