Description
Mulley TS5517R
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Mulley.
Serial number is: TS5517R.
Last inspected on: November 7, 1992.
Elevation is: 731 meters.
This Trig is a concrete pillar with mast and vanes on top of the L.I.C. building.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
The original collection of trig points has been sourced from Geoscience Australia and may contain inaccuracies.

Thanks for the trig.
Thanks for the trig
Very glad that we’re here in a Sunday to find this one. The council building wasn’t busy at all and we were able to Peacefully do a lap of the building as grounds. Now I’m not 100% sure that I have the right photo with the right find on this building, but I did my best. Might have to get some advice from outdoornut22. Thanks team

What is that other thing up there? That looks like a trig concrete base. TFTC.
A good thing too that rogerw3 was there to guide a confuddled 'mushroom as the long day and a glaring sun gave false hopes. Taken for a walk and shown the error of his ways Mulley was eventually captured barely visible on the lands building skyline.
I got this shot from the road near the public school thinking it was this one. you can see it clearer from the staff parking at the lands council.
Sadly it was a Sunday and the place was shut so I couldn't get up there like the last person did.
2/6 to make Bathurst region Griffin-Gold again.
Found it here.
Thanks for the TP.

Took us a long time before we found a good position for our photographs, but we did it!
Who says these kinds of trigs are easy to log?
This one proved a bit elusive as we were too close to the building, in the end it became visible from the West end of the car park and a welcome sight it was.
