Description
Durham Court TS10146
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Durham Court.
Serial number is: TS10146.
Last inspected on: November 1975.
Elevation is: 768 meters.
Trig is a concrete pedestal with mast and vanes.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

Next Trig on fitzy's list - found from the road !
A weekend run up through the Oberon, Bathurst and Orange regions to tackle a number of puzzle series, lots of trads, plus a number of trigs as well. Although there were a number of DNFs, in all the caches were nicely placed with good coords. Glorious weather certainly added to a very fun weekend. An early departure with a few quick stops along the way saw us soon at Oberon to start the campaign in ernest. Once that area was cleaned up we headed north to Bathurst. Driving around the back roads we came to this one. Once near the trig of course it was a quick stop for the required photos, admired the views, then it was off to the next one. Photo of the trig attached.
Another nice trig to add to the collection. Really enjoy finding these in all sorts of odd places, including the new CORS type which seem to be popping up in every country town plus the big cities.
TFTC !!
The first, of many, already logged by rogerw3 but on the list for the 'mushroom - in a distant field, and a tad hard to photograph in the glare of a morning sun.
Looks like the whole field has been scarified, and there was looked like harvesting equipment outside of a rundown house.
Nobody answered, so I took some 'longer shots', till next time. Then on a bit late to the Event - found this @ 1205.
This one is visible from the Eugenie Street and is on private property it can still be seen and photographed. No doubt you could walk up to it when the field lies fallow but otherwise not recommended.
First trig of the day for rogerw3 and me, and an FTF, but we opted not to think about trekking through what was probably private property.
The trig disk is perfectly visible from the road, but didn't show up well on camera. My own little camera malfunctioned at this point, so I called upon rogerw3 to take a shot of my at the barbed wire fence, with the trig on the horizon behind me.
