A quick find today as we were heading home to Lismore. Armidale was pretty quiet today, and ridiculously hot too. Since when did Armidale get to 36 degrees! A nice easy CORS to log.

Day two of our trip to the Mega and travelling from our over night stop in Tenterfield after 8 hours on the road yesterday. Today caching our way south only as far as Armidale but a lot of caches to get both GGCA and of course GC.
Parked in the street in front of the council offices and walked down the side and took the elevated position. Then noticed I was only one meter from posted GZ. Quick look around and saw the CORS. TFTC Geocaching Australia Clan MinotaurVery Happy

Pulled up at the park for a relief stop and to let my car cool down. Having engine troubles today. Not good. Meant to be at an engagement party in 2 hours. Realised there were a few gca caches here to find so went for a walk while letting the car cool. Pretty cool cathedrals here. Walked around the bank to the tables and chairs to snap this one. From up there you can look across the road and see an interesting artwork.

Fortunately I checked earlier photographs of this before arriving here, so I knew what I was looking for. TFTC.

I wasn't too sure whether that was it but fortunately I took the right photo - sneaky devil.

Found at 1115, after checking with the council that I was looking in the correct direction! The listed coordinates are a good place to stand, and look on up to the blue square metal structure over the corner of the building.
Typical mushroom shaped CORS receiver/transponder.
Thanks for sharing

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.

We saw this CORS on the way north. Thanks.

We saw this trig listed about a year ago but before we even got out to take a photo it had disappeared . . but now it's back. On a bleak, cold and wet morning, what else to do but catch up on some local GCA caches.

07-May-13
Found on a caching trip from Glen Innes and Emmaville thru to Armidale with Earthly65.

Discovered this CORS unit on website link from Glen Innes CORS...so interesting, had no idea of their existence...since we were caching from Glen Innes thru to Armidale I thought I would see if there were any others in the area...and found this one.

As stated, easiest and best photo op is from rear of the building on terrace.
