I went for a drive around the area today to log a few GCA since my last trip out this way.
Another visit to the Submarine town and there has been some improvements since I was here.
A quick pic of the trig here and then back on the road again.

Pa and I have had a wonderful couple of weeks away starting with the Tumut Invasion which was lots of fun with fellow cachers from ACT and the Goulburn region. We continued on through Omeo, Licola and the Howitt High Plains before dropping down to Mansfield and Bonnie Doon. Today we stopped in Jugiong having made quite a long day of it by collecting as many GCA caches as possible to take advantage of the double points. This was one of those caches and we thank all COs for placing these caches which add interest and fun to our trip.

Found this cache on the way to, at or on the way home from the Mega at Clearwaters. My trip to the Mega was great, found lab caches which while like gadgets are new icons to me. Found some great caches and brought back some neat ideas for new caches in Tasmania.

Stopped in town for a lunch break and to find a couple of caches. Thankfully the gates were open and we made this one a driveby.
Found on the way to Wangaratta for a weekend of caching. TFTT

Found on a detour while travelling south. Hot outside for April and good to get back in the car and air-con! TFTT

Had a long three days of caching with a total of 2054 km done! Enjoyed every minute of it despite some dissapointments as well. Most caches I found were really nice and in good condition, thanks to all the CO for putting them out there! Trip Kiama-down the Hume to Albury/Wodonga-Along the Murray to Cobram-back to NSW and via Hay to Ivanhoe=back down to Griffith-Temora-Yass and home.

First Trig that I have found that was not in the bush or on the top of a mountain

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1012 - 10069 overall cache finds.
Found during a caching run road trip with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n. While I mainly looked for GC caches, when an easy GCA cache comes along we go for that as well. Trigs are particularly nice to track down and find. I was very happy when they became part of the GCA cache family. Its especially satisfying if you have made a big climb up for one ! I have also now joined dragonZone in Clan Cerberus, so there are more reasons to find those GCA caches. Its interesting to find the many different types of trigs. From the traditional metal legs and vanes, to the concrete base with vanes, to the ones on top of water tanks (especialy the red ones !), as well the new CORS type. When you look on a GCA map and see all those hundreds and hundreds of blue 'Z's it shows just how many there are out there. Shame so many are on private property and cannot be accessed at all. So as far as I'm concerned every trig that can be found and photographed is a real bonus !
This one was a nice quick 'find' and a photo taken and posted.

#GA250 - 10:45a; After a bit of planning, the great Sol de lune, fitzy_1965 and LuckyL10n road trip from Canberra to Melbourne and return was underway. An early start from Canberra was the order of the day, so we could gather the information we needed along our route for two Great Aussie Icon Hunt multis, while collecting a few caches along the way.
Stopped in at Holbrook to grab this one on the way through. Once the happy snaps were in the can, we were on the road again. TFTC Geocaching Australia

I had a long weekend planned to visit the Victorian border region for a bit of caching. I had a great time and managed to get to many caches over the time I was away. The CORS are springing up all over the place. This one was a simple drive by. Thanks

Coming through Holbrook on the way home today we called in to find the CORS. Fairly easily spotted in the Showground, a different place for one instead of a main council building but easy to get to. Finished off Holbrook caches finally today.
A short walk on a pleasant evening and the CORS was spotted on a building adjacent to the sports ground.
Found on our 2013 Geelong Christmas trip. Didn't use the new Holbrook bypass, instead we came into town for a snack and a CORS trig. A quick park out the front of the facility, then through the gate. Quick snap, then off we went. Nice sports oval here as well. TFTC GCA!

Parked the van and decided after travelling a long way today to walk around this town and get the caches here. This had to be our first stop as it was getting late and we needed a photo here. Thanks, an easy find.
Passing through Holbrook on the way home after holidays, popped by to grab this newly published CORS trig. Not in a place I'd expect to find a CORS station, the top of a building in the local football ground scoreboard! Usual disk shaped antenna, easy to spot. Found using GA Cacher on the phone.
