Out caching with WaywardWoman I came upon the 4 Wollongong Test Line trigs. Sadly with my injured ankle still in a support "boot", I wasnt able to get to them all but was able to take photos. This one was nestled in the bushes! TFTT

In town for the Gong Mega and today a flash mob at the lighthouse, so I spent the day geocaching in Wollongong. Four for the price of one here and a chance to stretch my legs. TFTC.

Now based at Cataract Park we headed out today with Tassie Trekkers and stopped to photograph this trig. The required photo has been added to the gallery. At least the fog had lifted and the rain had ceased. TFTT

Grabbed this photo first after a short walk from the car park. Took our photo from the path down to the dog beach as we didn't want to trample the vegetation at this one.
Another dog beach!!! The local council certainly provides a few of them around here.
Thanks.

#GA653 - 15:05; Sol de lune and I had discussed a wild trig hunt in the Illawarra quite a while ago and today was the day we tried to bring home the bacon. We had collected a few on the way down the mountain and in to Kiama, before heading north for a DNF in Shellharbour then on to the main section of the Tour de Illawarra. After a bit of a tour around the CBD, we headed out a bit for a nice string of four trigs all within walking distance of each other and this was the first TFTC Geocaching Australia

I only had this particular trig manually loaded into the GPSr, and it is no wonder there is confusion from overseas visitors as to what constitutes a trig, and what is a survey marker. I recognise from the Spatial Imaging Exchange section of the Department of Lands NSW that this, and the other three are listed as PM's which generally is a survey marker, but when you go to Mount Warning the TS code for the trig is a "PM" box instead !?!
Got the photo of this trig looking marker, and then wondered off in the wrong direction before realising my mistake, and then photographed the others as well. Nice to see the intact nameplates, even if this one is a bit 'rusty'. No vanes for the concrete pedestal

Just yesterday I got around to logging three of these four from when I was here in December, and noted that I would have to come back sometime to get the 4th one. Well, today I was in the area for another cache and realised now was my chance.
Caught the train up today to grab these 4. Had also planned to look for a cache but decided to waymark instead. Quite warm.
We could not believe our luck when when found four trig points likes ducks in a row. The required photos for this one have been added to the Gallery.
These Permanent Marks/Trigs are easy to find just make your way the Fair Meadow Surf Life Saving Club car park, Elliott's Rd. They can all been seen in a row if you stand at one end. TFTC.

Some really nice ones in a row. Reason they are not on GCA is because they were but taken down as not being real trig's. Still I think they are worth a visit as well

I came to do another cache and spotted this trig base beside the pathway.
I soon realised there were a sereis of four in this particular test line, none of which were already on GCA, so I snapped a pic and added them.
