Description
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ and to photograph it.
Official Code: TS10356
Official Name: Bolwarra
Coordinates: 32° 42.147'S 151° 35.043'E
Description: Rooftop steel pillar with mast and vanes, last inspected July 9, 1990.
Elevation: 42m.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of the metal post (sometimes, four metal legs or a concrete pillar), resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by the ability to place a surveying device on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to. (As this one is, if you want to touch it - as, either a ladder is required, to get on top of the toilet block, or, be willing to climb up a spindly bottle brush bush on the northwestern corner of the toilet block, and then step onto the roof. All at your own risk, of course)
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
In the tradition of requiring a 'close-up' photo of the trig, as opposed to a telephoto/zoomed shot the Terrain is raised, as a suitable elevation can be gained by climbing up a small tree (bush) at one corner of the toilet block.

Logs
I was staying overnight a few blocks from here. I saw there was a trig and lookout here also and room to swing a car with caravan around so dropped by in the morning. It was foggy - the view had been eaten by the nothing. With "nothing" to see here, just an air pipe on top of the toilet block, a radio tower, and a few kids playing in the wet playground, I just turned around and headed back out to journey further south.
Stumbled across this very cool trig.
Cool Trig !
Thanks.
It may be that someone else had taken an earlier photo of the trig while finding the nearby GC cache.
