Description

A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ and photograph it.

This trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) is not far off the road to Nerriga with access near a communications building.  To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself.

Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is:
Yerriyong.
Serial number is: TS6476.
Last Inspected on: unknown.
Elevation is: 246 metres.

Safest access off this busy road is at S35 00.380 E150 28.575. A dirt track then first right to a driveby.

Came off the road and saw the track up. Felt like a walk, so left the car. There is a tree down across the track, so just as well I walked.

Moving house, house moving, whatever you want to call this Nomad thing. Maybe Captains Moving Castle!

The Captain and I in the Black Pearl are just picking up a couple of gca caches on our way through.

You know I think there may technically be too trigs here. I know that pile of rocks anywhere. They've pulled apart the cairn to reveal the rod in the middle. It was too wet for me to go digging to find it today though. I did take a moment to collect the rubbish from the old post on the new trig. It appears the last person to check on this took the vanes repaired the trig to a degree and scattered the white post remains all over the place. Messy buggers!

This place would make a great overnight stop.

As per others had to initially find a side track, after a shot walk the trig was spotted. In good condition.

Out on a day run with Smittengranny to Nowra and the surrounding areas. Had to take a little side track to get into the trig but once there all was good.

Out on the hunt for more points in the current game. Travelling with Sol de Lune today on what turned out to be a very long day. Thanks for organising , driving and your company. Especially your patience while I traipsed along behind especially on those long uphill climbs at times. The last one standing in the rain waiting five minutes for me to arrive. ClappingDancing

I drove in. A little slippery in some mud patches. The road though I wasn't sure was headed for the trig, so I parked and walked 160 metres. Worth the walk as there were some wildflowers. I am pleased I made a WP for my car, because on the return I didn't spot it until 40 metres from it. TFTC.

Another trig down along the road to Neriga. Very wet today, but trigs were easy to find and very clear marked!

Went out for a drive along the Braidwood Road this morning to visit some Trig points. Not to hard to find this one a little off the road but a easy walk along the track. It looked freshly painted and it was good to see the plate still attached. TFTC.

14-Dec-16
Another stop over on my way to Nowra. A short walk and I was soon snapping a selfie.

20-Dec-14
On the way home from a Jervis Bay dive trip I saw two trigs that are pretty close to the main road. This one took me down a short side track, but then the trig was right there. Thanks.

Drove out this way today to check out 2 trigs & a SSM. This one is right beside a bush track & painted vivid white. Easy turn around but no view.
