Forster CORS
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Forster CORS.
Serial number is: TS 12217R.
(CORS Continually Operating Reference Stations) collecting geodetic data from GNSS.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the CORS, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the CORS.

#GA2748 - 09:20; Day six of the 2018 Oz GeoMuster mission with Sol de lune. After a night in Kempsey, the plan for today was to cache southward through Harrington, Crowdy Head, Forster Tuncurry and then in to Sydney, in particular Rockdale and Cronulla to set up for an assault on a series of puzzle caches tomorrow morning. After another early start we soon found ourselves in Harrington, then on to Crowdy Head for the trig and the lighthouse out there. After checking out the views in Crowdy Head, it was back to the highway for a while before taking the turn off for Forster and making our way through Tuncurry and over the bridge to get to this CORS. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Day 6 of the Sol de Lune / LuckyL10n great northern escape. Or better put, a run up the NSW coast after attending the Morisset event.
After an overnight stop at Kempsey and a visit to Crowdy Head, this was our next stop. Had to walk around the building, however the CORs soon came into view and the photo was snapped. Busy little area here and it has certainly changed since my last visit...which I'm sure was about 1976. Bit sad really....

We were exploring the Forster area today, we looped through from north to south grabbing 10 caches and 2 trigs, with 2 DNFs to start the day. We battled scattered showers and gale force winds, but had a good day - the views from the many vantage points along the coast were magnificent. After initially being underwhelmed with CORS's - now we look forward to the search.....

We were in Forster for the Annual API Sporting Carnival and I had a couple of hours to find a few caches.
I had to drive down the road and back again to find the access road and a park close by. This is the first CORS that I have ever seen so I was surprised to see the installation..

After getting yet another *FTF* at Chatham I had enough time to head quite a bit further south of Forster and try for a couple of trigs that I had noticed on SIX Maps NSW. But why not get this one on the way.
My GPSr wanted to route me to a 'closer point', but there was obviously no access to the CORS so I went around and got right below it. The coordinates are good. But I doubt the elevation mentioned, as it must be 4 m off the ground, and most likely the ground is 4 m AMSL.
Took a couple of photos and then headed off.
