Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Merriwa CORS.
Serial number is: TS 12173R.
(CORS Continually Operating Reference Stations) collecting geodetic data from GNSS.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the CORS, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the CORS.

Literally ducked around the back of the Tourist Information Centre (now located on the cnr) and the Council Offices...and under the 1.8m high walkway. Spotted the CORS unit immediately with JJCC and we were able to take our photos then continue on our journey of exploring the town.

@ Shifter Brains: I'm adding screenshot from the SIX Maps site of where the CORS actually is. At the 'back' of the building, not on the street side.
Located the place but was unable to spot the CORS. Location is the tourist info centre.
