We stopped in at Taree for some lunch at the bakery and took the opportunity to grab a couple of the many trig points in the town.
This was a fairly simple find as far as CORS go. There is an interesting mix of buildings in Taree.

one of several trigs we found whilst exploring the area

This is hopefully the first of many trigs I find today as I travel north to Casino. TFTT Geocaching Australia.

Heading home from a week in Port Macquarie, I managed to convince my wife into a quick detour through Taree for some trig hunting. We grabbed 4, and there's still a handful left - Taree *is* a great spot for trigs.... CORS trigs might be my favourite, with a cache-like search commonly, this one was pretty easy though.

The last of the GCA caches we got in Taree today before leaving.
Think Sunday morning was a good time to get this one with plenty of parking.
Unusual to see that this one has unpainted metal.
Thanks.

#GA2674 - 17:20; Day three of the 2018 Oz GeoMuster mission with Sol de lune. After a day hitting the geoart trail put out for the muster with Sdl and albida33 yesterday, today was all about finding GCA caches and perhaps picking up a dragonZone or two in the process. The plan for the day was to start in Morisset (naturally enough), work our way around Lake Macquarie and in to Newcastle, then on to Maitland and Abermain before heading back to camp, packing up and heading north. There had been a change of plans after a heavy overnight fog which left our tarps quite wet, so we decided to hit the trail while they dried out. We collected trigs around the lake, the suburbs of Newcastle, Maitland and finally Abermain, along with a few GC caches for good measure before heading back to camp to collect our now dry gear, before we headed north for Taree where we plan to spend the night. We had now reached Taree and decided we had time for a couple more trig shots before we set up camp for the night at a local caravan park. Navigated to a convenient parking spot near the Aquatic Club to grab a snap of this CORS. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Day three of an Easter trip with LuckyL10n to the 2018 Morisset Mega. Headed up via the northern beach suburbs of Sydney to grab a few trigs and dragonZones along the way. From there it was a trip around the lake to find a good assortment of trigs. A great day out while heading further north and into Taree.
The trig was soon spotted and the required photo/s snapped.
Another trig and another dragonZone crossed off. Thanks for the fun....

Yeah, a nice easy one with very suitable parking. Well there was when we arrived on a Sunday morning.

Lots of parking at this time of day down by the club. Short walk into the Queens Park and I had it.
went out to find this one while on an overnight stay at a motel about 120 metres away. Found after a circuit of the area. Wasn't sure what I was looking for until I found it as this is my first CORS find.
Sat across the road and had lunch. Noticed it as we were walking away back to car . Another one for the game "winter is coming"

Not sure who loaded this CORS (trig) onto the GCA website, as I was about to when saw that GCA had loaded a 'stack' of caches, and sure enough this was one of the ones I was going to do!
I had only recently found a web site that showed many of the surveying marks on them, and noticed this CORS. Even without the GPSr it was an easy find, once you got to the correct side of the building!
Found @ 1600. Took a couple of photos then headed on home.
