On a long weekend away trip to Girraween National Park, I got my GCA account up and running and we found our first TrigPoint. Will endeavour to continue logging on our adventures with our little girly around Aus.
I am slowly meandering my way home and stopped in here to grab this trig so that I can claim another Dragonzone. It took a lot of searching but I eventually found it. TFTT Geocaching Australia.
#GA5153 - 12:05; Day three of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. We had to spend an unscheduled night in Goondawindi due to road closures caused by flooding and after queueing with numerous others at the roadblock outside of town, we were finally able to head off towards Toowoomba around 9:15am this morning. We reached Warwick and stopped for me to grab a snap of this CORS, which Sdl had logged on a previous mission. TFTT GCA Australia

Hmm not sure I knew what I was looking for here as I could not see trig point at all so took a pic to prove I was in the area and tried.

Since we were here with Samboo Bear, we should qualify to log the Cors. We attempted to search for it at night but couldn't see it. During the daylight (and after reading old logs) we attempted again. Unfortunately the best position is from the staff carpark on the inside of the property, combined with security cameras we weren't brave enough to go in.... instead took the photo from the park. Not the best but you can still see it.

Found it.... it was hard to find. Suzy said that there were security cameras on the edge of the building pointing to the driveway down the middle, so we took a photograph from the park. But you can still see it.
Thanks for the trig.

Not caching anywhere near as much these days, however driving past this one on the way to Bundaberg and the temptation was too much.
Grabbed the photo and continued on our way.

Not a CORS you find by accident. We couldn't see it from the co-ordinates or from either streets but could just spot it from the park across the road. Found for the States of the Nation. Double points, bonus!!

Stopped off in Warwick for a couple of caches, and supplies, and noticed that there is a CORS as well, bargain. Went to the coordinates, and was a bit confused, so went in and asked at the Council information desk, and sure enough, the coordinates are for where to take the photograph from. The 'trig' is up on the top closer to the street. I did take some adjusted coordinates below the CORS but as I had exceeded the maximum number of waypoints it wasn't saved.
Will add photos when off the tablet.

FTF. The CORS is located on top of the building on the corner of Fitzroy and Guy Streets Warwick Qld. It was very difficult to work out where to take the photo from. The best shot would have been from the park but no zoom function on my digital camera i use just for caching photos. There are several aerials on the roof and this phot is taken from Fitzroy Street.
