Found the trig here while searching for the GC cache nearby. Burnt along the way, but the trig post itself survived!

Thanks,

Found the GC5MCG0 cache here. Took a picture of the view down to Corin Dam, WITH MY GPS. (see the log therein and its attached photo) https://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/large/a7a722fd-9711-4383-93e9-be440373eecb.jpg The properties of that GPS photo indicate exactly where I was, ie, here!

Found with Sol just before the road gets blocked for 6 months. Great views

Quick find with a bit of bush bashing. Trig has a bit of a lean but still holding up. TFTC.

#GA367 - 14:50; After an entertaining morning at the 2014 Canberra Cache of the Year Awards Event, I joined a posse of intrepid cachers in Sol de lune, fitzy_1965 and half of team lokipagan for a trip to Corin in search of this new trig. Parked at the far end of the dam and made our way across to the lookout, where we assessed our options for the trig. A bit of cachecraft came to the fore when Sdl suggested there may be a less vertical approach back along the road. Turned out to be a good call as we made our way along a trail before hitting the bush for the last few hundred metres. Made it to GZ in just under half an hour from the car, where we took a well earned rest and plenty of happy snaps of the weathered trig pole, before heading off on the return journey and a couple more caches on the way home. Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1049 - 10319 overall cache finds.

Found during a trek up here with Sol de Lune, LuckyL10n and the Loki half of lokipagen. While I mainly looked for GC caches, when an easy GCA cache comes along we go for that as well. Trigs are particularly nice to track down and find. I was very happy when they became part of the GCA cache family. Its especially satisfying if you have made a big climb up for one ! I have also now joined dragonZone in Clan Cerberus, so there are more reasons to find those GCA caches. Its interesting to find the many different types of trigs. From the traditional metal legs and vanes, to the concrete base with vanes, to the ones on top of water tanks (especialy the red ones !), as well the new CORS type. When you look on a GCA map and see all those hundreds and hundreds of blue 'Z's it shows just how many there are out there. Shame so many are on private property and cannot be accessed at all. So as far as I'm concerned every trig that can be found and photographed is a real bonus !

A nice quick 'find' of this Trig once the bush bash was complete. Piccie taken and posted.

Got the heads up yesterday that this trig had been published and a few people were keen to visit. Loki joined SDL, fitzy and LuckyL10n for the nice walk. Glad we decided not to beeline for it, as a much better option was found! The weather held out for us and all-in-all a beautiful afternoon in a great area. Thanks to all for the company (and invite).

After the event in town today, fitzy, LuckyL10n, lokipagan and myself headed out....and up for this new trig. The approach was changed from our initial idea, and the walk we did take was the best option.

After the short bush bash, we arrived at the trig, grabbed our required photos and then started the return trip. Back at the car in less than an hour and all was good. Thanks to all for the company....

Another ACT trig crossed off......
