Found this test line and its trig stations. I liked how you could see all 4 from the first one, or is it the last one. But I still stopped beside each one up the hill.
Whilst caching in Nowra today, we visited each of the markers on the Nowra Test Line. Two photos have been added to the Gallery: Mrs y'stassie standing next to the tgrig point; the identification plate on the trig point. Thanks for the cache.
I drive past here several time each day so today I stopped in here after work to check my nearby cache and discovered this marker.
Thanks
Thanks
After this I went and found the nearby GC cache. TFTC.

I was out on a Saturday drive and this one just needed grabbing. Out for a quick pic and then off to the next one in the line.

Parked opposite the first of the 4 in the test line and then walked to the next three. Then back to the car. All up it took about 20 minutes. Better than then the stop start in moving the car....

Crossed over the Do Not Enter tape [WHICH WAS MOSTLY LAYING ON THE GROUND] and through the bog to GZ. From this one you could line up the other 3. A short walk further in to the bush had us at the GC cache nearby.
So 2 for 1 stop here. Thanks.

Geocaching Australia Cache (GCA cache) find Number 1541 (plus 14083 Geocaching [GC] Caches for a Grand Total of 15624 Cache Finds !
In the continuing quest to a streak of 90 days with a GCA Cache find (soon to extend to be a quest for 180 day streak - I'm not even thinking about the 365 challenge yet ! Lol) I picked out this Trig Test Line in Nowra for attention. I was down this way just for the day on a work trip and so scouted around for my daily GCA find. Seeing this Test Line - the fourth one I've done this year) made me very happy. After finishing my work duties I grabbed a few GC caches around the place to complete a daily calendar requirement I have, then drove north to this Test Line (after grabbing the nearby TB Hotel). This was the first of the four in the Test Line. I parked nearby and walked to all four - couldn't be bothered moving the car each time - plus with nearly 7 hours of driving time today a walk would do me good - and made the 'find' and took the required piccies. One down three to go...
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....
PS - I'm thinking of changing my caching name (again) - how does GeeGeeEff sound ?? Laughing

On my way to Culburra today so thought these would be a quick find. Not hard to find as they can be seen from Flinders Road, number four and the last one in the line.
Love a good line.
On a wet and windy day out I was stopped by the locals and asked what I was doing trapesing through the bush on such a miserable day...luckily I am a trained surveyor so was able to talk them down from whatever they were thinking I was up to.

#GA985 - 08:40; In Nowra for a meeting and had a bit of time before kick off, so I headed out to log this test line, which had been published since my last visit. I headed along Flinders Road and then drove back along to visit the trigs from the right side of the road. All were easily accessed and the required snaps taken. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Seen a simular set up north of Wollongong, but these are way better hidden from view!

On the way to Jarvis Bay for some diving I saw these in the bush by the road. Four quick stops and I was back on my way.
Thanks

Nothing hard about finding and accessing these trigs off Flinders Road. So I took the walk to photograph them; only to realise when I was at Berry that there was a geocache within 'striking distance', so back I came.
Found this one @ 1154; intact name plate of Nowra Testline PM 58024. A concrete pedestal, with a 'capped' working top.

Noticed one of these the other day so pulled over today & could see all four which I then published. Best to drive along Flinders Road & pull over but be very careful as traffic rips along.
