The track appears to the top appears to be popular with locals trying to get a workout and there is currently a GC cache about 2/3 of the way up. I have always loved climbing to the top of hills and touching the trig station.
It was only after talking this morning to JACs Team at an event here in Mount Isa that I learned that these could be logged.
Since we were climbing this hill to collect a couple of caches today, we stopped at this one.
Spectacular views!
Thanks

So, I just learnt that you can log these! Made the walk up with my son this morning. Lovely bit of exercise for the morning.

Alice trip 2017. Day 24. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I spent the morniong caching around Mt Isa then started driving east, visiting Cloncurry and Winton. A fun walk up the hill for a few caches reward.

Thanks

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1460. Found during Day 15 of my epic 21 day visit to Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience Event and further travels after that.

Flew into Alice Springs and met up with my fellow intrepid team members Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n for the start of an amazing trip throughout the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and eventually back to Canberra. The Red Centre Experience is the main attraction of course, but also on our agenda are a lot of GC Caches, lots of trigs, as well as plenty of GCA Trads, History and Virtual Caches (and maybe the odd beer or two ??!! Smile. Go Clan Cerberus !

Another trig for the trip. We were now heading south and east again, and we managed to get to this trig after the climb. Photo taken. Then it was back in the car and off to the next one !

Another trig added to the dragonZone list. I really enjoy finding trigs and also the new CORS that are popping up everywhere !

TFTC !!

#GA1592 - 10:20; Day 26 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. After our first night in Queensland, it was time to add to our cache finds around Mt Isa, before heading to Mary Kathleen, Cloncurry, McKinley and on to Winton for the night. Got our cardiac workout for the day making our way up the hill from the gate for this trig and a couple of nearby caches. Yet another location from which to take in some of the views over the city and the mine. TFTT Geocaching Australia Very HappyClan Cerberus

I visited this Trig again to show my son WillPunkey who is in the picture. I also hid a cache nearby for the Summer Series. A hot walk to the top!!!

Wow, a 'real' trig; not another tumbled down pile of rocks that I have been finding up north. A wonderful view of Mt Isa too. Plus it got me out of my car for the short walk to the top.

Had found the GCA cache on our last visit to Mount Isa so retraced our footsteps and snapped the required pic.

Found this one on a morning jog in Mount Isa. This Trig is in very good condition and I was suprised it is not already logged on the GCA site.
