Late this afternoon we located the CORS antenna for the Dubbo City Council GPS. Two photos have been included with this log. The first shows the antenna on top of the steel work with Mrs y'stassie on the street below; the second is a closer view of the antenna. Thanks Geocaching Australia for the cache.

I decided a weekend dash north to finish my inland NSW counties was in order. The aim was Brewarrina for the two Earth Caches. Day 3. I headed south aiagn, this time via some diry to visit Carinda and Quambone. Then it was back to the bitumen at Gulargambone for a few more caches before returning to Wellington via Dubbo.

It was a bit tough to find a good angle on this one, but I got an image.

Thanks

This one was a lot easier to locate than the last trig we were looking for. Thanks for publishing trigs for us to hunt down Geocaching Australia. DancingDancingClan CerberusClan Cerberus

While staying in nearby Narromine we wandered around central Dubbo this morning heading for some of the many GCA caches to be found.

Like geono. before us it took us a while to find this sneaky little trig but eventually spotted it when we stood in the correct place. As mentioned before you need to zoom right in to find it

Did a full circuit of the building with the same result... where is it? Checked other people's photos and reckon they were as confused as us. Took some pics from different angles and figured something there must be it. It wasn't till checking the photo later that we realise we actually got it but it's not till you zoom right in that it stops blending in to the sky and is visible.

#GA1639 - 14:00; Day 30 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. Today was a shorter run from Nyngan to Nevertire, Warren, Trangie, Narromine and on to Dubbo before heading to Parkes for the night. Sdl and I decided to spend the rest of the day in and around Dubbo and left our fellow cachers in Narromine. After picking up a few trigs around the outskirts, we were now headed into suburbia and picking up a few more caches, including a stack of virtuals. Headed towards the CBD, we found a park right across the road, but it still took a little bit to spot this CORS just poking its head above the parapet Very Happy . The GPS is pointing in that direction – not shore which aerial – many to pick from - thanks

The only log for this one that has a photo didn't add up to where our GPS had the coordinates. We think the shorter pole to the left of the two taller ones is possibly the trig. It is one the building next to the previous photo. If we are wrong please feel free to delete our log. Thanks.
