Description
Taree EDM Testline - PM58047
The Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2012 requires surveyors to verify their Electronic Distance Measuring (EDM) equipment in relation to the State Primary Standard of measurement, in the form of pillared testlines or baselines, at least once each year and immediately after service and repair.
The Taree EDM Testline is a set of four trig points: PM58047-PM58050. The distance between the first and last one is 515.039 meters +/- 0.5 mm.
This information was obtained from http://www.lpi.nsw.gov.au/surveying/surveying_services/edm_baseline_certificates.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
Sign, on eastern side of the yard states: "ACCESS TO SURVEY CALIBRATION STATION, PHONE MID COAST WATER 6592 4801."
Logs
In the end we headed back to the sports field and found it from that side.
After staying overnight at the Showgrounds we grabbed these 4 Trigs in the test line to start the day off.
TFTC !!
Thanks

This one is in a council yard and therefore our photo is taken through the fence. The trig marker does blend in a bit with the trucks parked nearby so I tried to make it just above Mr Beetle's hand in the photo.
Thanks, a nice easy testline to access.
This concrete 'Hotine' pedestal, sitting on a metre square concrete base, has a short cylindrical plastic post/cap on top. There is also a name plate on it - visible from the west.
Found at 5pm, 24/4/16; never knew it was here, despite living/working in Taree for the past 19 years.
I will try to get permission from Mid Coast Water to get a closer photo of the name plate of this particular 'trig' after the ANZAC holiday.
