Description

Mark number: TS 617
Monument type: PLUG IN STONE
Trig name: ALLEY

A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.

Now THAT WAS FUN! I enjoyed the thrill off driving ago the way up here on my own. View is not as impressive as Mt Boppy, but you can see a bit, to the west I think.

Loved driving through the wildflowers. passed a quandong tree on the journey too. They aren't ripe yet. might have to come by here next visit to see if they are ripe.

Parked at the start of the track and headed off on the bikes. A fairly easy ride except for the last rocky 50 metres or so. This trig is in a bad way with the vanes laying on the ground and riddled with bullet holes. Thanks, will claim a 2TF on this one.

This trig is on crown land just outside of Cobar. Went for a morning run to claim this trig whilst in Cobar for work. Accessible by 4wd if you can find the right track.
