Description
This particular cache consists of only the bronze survey plate which is set in a precast concrete block placed at ground level, but has no trig-station framework above.
The 'Triangulation Station' marker is what makes it a Trig Point, so it's added to the database.
This marker has an associated stamp ID value 69303.
Look for 2 orange tip colored metal poles (survey plate is in the middle).
<Driving Instructions>
This is a drive to trig and is located on "Tonimbuk rd" which is a sealed bitumen rd (if approached from the "M1 Freeway").
<Parking>
Parking available opposite the trig.
* Consider wearing gaiters as the long grass may hide a slithering suprise (or at least wear long pants)
Using the web-based "Survey Marks Enquiry Service (SMES)", the Mark and Alternative names have being acquired.
The official name for this cache is "CANNIBAL CK-BUNYIP PM 46"

Logs
Out and about with a couple of undesirables called SSRAT AND GOOSE.
Loved this, thanks
doing a raiding mission from Tassie
thanks for the trig
It was too nice a day to not do something, so I figured I might as well drive down for a snag or two, catch up with people, then maybe walk around for a few more smileys.
The first two happened, the third not so much... a better offer came up, and I found myself in a car on its way to visit a far flung resting place.
Anyway... upon my return, I cast about for a more interesting way home than straight back along the freeway, and noted some points of interest not too far away.
This was the third and final detour from the route home... a nice quick stop by the roadside and another find by torchlight.
Thanks, Geocaching Australia, for another interesting place to visit.
GCA#159
The metal poles are used more in rural areas (sometimes they're orange tipped points and other times they're light blue or even dark blue tipped).
Family friendly trig, just watch for fast moving traffic in both directions.
(Don't leave kids/pets unattended)
