After spending a few days in Gawler it was time for to drive my mums (well my car now) from Gawler back to Perth. This was day four travelling from Border Village to Kalgoorlie then onto Coolgardie on a 5 day 3,100km adventure.
There are hundreds of signs saying do not drive tired so geocaching helped with that.
The day turned out great taking in lots of sights at Norseman, Kambalda, Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie and only about 3ookm of driving instead of the 6-700km's.
I headed up to Two Towers Hill in the Cruze which got up the hill very easily and checked out the awesome views here and grabbed 3 gca caches here.
I found this trig point very quickly and enjoyed the view. I saw a blast happen at the super pit whilst here.
Thanks for the trig cache geocaching Australia ClappingClan Minotaur
I found many caches during the adventure.

Was with SeabreezeOz when we visited this one. We had done the Holland Track with Team Red Roo and some other cachers, but parted ways once we left Coolgardie this morning.
Great views of the surrounding area from here. Thanks for setting it up for us to come and find Geocaching Australia

Holland Track Adventure
This trip had been on my 'Wish List' for some years
The problem was Logistics
I had to get the timing right...…….So many Variables!
Weather
The best time of year is after winter to avoid the very worst of the cold and wet, and before the weather gets too hot in summer
We were very fortunate to get nice warm sunny days and mild nights with no rain, the track was mostly dry and the deep mud puddles could easily be skirted around on dry tracks
Company
I did not want to tackle the track on my own as my vehicle is not fully set up for hard core 4 wheel driving, no winch or high lift kit which would be advisable, especially after rain
Luckily I found a group of other geocachers who were planning to tackle the track and I quickly agreed to join in the group
Today was the day
After spending many hours the previous afternoon removing all my work tools and other stuff out of my vehicle and packing in all my camp gear, I was ready to go early in the morning
Stopping to fill up with fuel on my way out of town then continuing on to pick up my passenger Mistraluna
While we had discussed a rough plan of finding caches on the way to Hyden I was not prepared for the coming adventure that this day would prove to become
Luckily we had all day today and tomorrow to get to Hyden where we would meet up with the other members of our party
On the way we stopped to top up with fuel and headed for our first cache of the day
From the fuel station we drove east to Pinjarra then on Pinjarra - Williams road, through Dwellingup, continuing east until we reached the power line road just past East Boundary rd. We made a left turn here and started heading north
The road was quite good and I did not need to use 4 wheel drive
I was thrilled to see a great number and variety of wild flowers along the roadside which I had not seen before
Our journey continues
Day 6
A busy day caching around town today
Time for us to head out of town now, I know Mistraluna wanted to get every cache in town but we did not have time for that on this trip. At least we have an excuse to come back another time and mop up the ones we had to leave behind
we had a bit of fun negotiating to a spot close enough to GZ to have a short walk up the hill to find the cache
Great views of the surrounding area here

Visited on 8th November '18. A good view from here with it being one of the few high points in the area. Two decent sized towers rise from this point (hence the name), with a GC cache here also. Other GC caches are 'nearby'.

Managed to get right to the top in our Ford Transit campervan. Grabbed a photo for this cache first and then wandered the short distance to grab the GC cache here.
Have included a photo of the trig and one of the van behind it just to prove it can be done.
Thanks.

This trip through the Goldfields has been a while in the planning and the main mission was to collect caches in at least another 8 Local Government Areas to qualify for a challenge cache recently set up by megawatt60! I didn’t really have a plan and was happy to throw the swag down once the daylight became in short supply. From Kalgoorlie I headed north as far as Leinster with a few deviations along the way. I then headed west through Mt Magnet and then meandered my way back towards Perth. I had GC and GCA caches lined up and tried to grab as many as I could while passing by. Cheers to all the CO’s for the hides and hopefully I can head back one day soon to clean up the caches I wasn’t able to find on this trip. TFTC

My 2WD could only make it so far, walking remainder 360m up the rocky road to the top.
Good view from up here, including southern end of Super Pit; TFTC!
Hit the road shortly after sunrise, into a forecast 37C day, finding a total 19 caches; 15 of these being dragonZone thus earning "Ides of March" trophy; with two FTF Trig's.

I looked around GZ for a trig – I’m guessing the 2 towers are the trig – info of GPS’s & Photos of towers – loved the view from up here. I call this 2 for the $ of 1 visit – this 1 & a GC cache – a big thanks Clan Griffin
