Bacchus Marsh 2 CORS (BCUS)

Bacchus Marsh CORS station.
CORS - Continually Operating Reference Stations collecting geodetic data from GNSS.

Look to the top of the building on the east side of Lord Street, Bacchus Marsh. There will be a steel or other shiny metal, squat antenna with 4 or 5 supporting legs and a flattened top. This is the CORS station which you can verify by the image below.

To log a find on the Geocaching Ausralia website, you will need to include a picture of the CORS antenna, along with your GPS receiver.  You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the CORS. If you notice that this CORS is on private property and you cannot get a photograph from a puiblic right of way, you can archive this listing by placing an archived log against it.

This morning we detoured into Bacchus Marsh so that we could find and log this cache. Two photos have been added to the Gallery: one shows Mrs y'stassie with a CORS antenna on the roof in the background; the second is a closer view of the antenna. Thanks for the cache.

Out with Lady caughtatwork and GabGab and we found this geocache (after it was listed only yesterday). Handy for the Summer Scavenger Series I must say. A genuine CORS location (see picture).
