Description

Not exactly a trig station, but not just a survey mark either.

While trig stations are used for horizontal control, benchmarks are used to establish a vertical datum point.

Welcome to 526 metres above sea level!

Found it. Fairly easy to spot with poles.

Have been saving this trig for a busy day as it is the closest unfound I have to my home Mr. Green Not any more!
A nice easy walk from the coach road gate brought me to the fork in the road and a set of blue poles Mr. Green
And the Benchmark plate. A quick photo & I was off home again.
Cheers

This benchmark was an easy find at the fork in the track.

The marker plate was easily found. I checked the altimeter on my Garmin and it agreed that I was at 526 metres above sea level.
