This cache is on Private Property, but visible from the road. Please do not Tresspass!

A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.

Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.

These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (prefer

Spotted the trig with Decrypter. With the low evening light (about 8.30pm), I needed to take lots of photographs so as to get one sharp(ish). This photograph is for both of our logs. TFTC.

GCA 1672. Finally able to find this Trig !

I have been right up to the Trig many many times. Growing up I was best mates of a son of the farmer running this land back then. I use to hang out at the farm an lot. Also my father knew his father very well through Rotary, and we gathered a lot of mossy rocks from this hill for the landscaping of the backyard. Many many trailer loads - lol.

TFTC !!

Seen this trig many times driving by in the past so nice to be able to log it. Got as close as the fence, the farm nearby was running an interesting mix of sheep and vines, the startled sheep retreated into the vines as I approached them.

I popped out for a cache to tick the daily box and get me out of the house for a bit.

Thanks

Been past here many times, good to see it's now listed. Easily spotted from the side of the road and the photo was soon snapped.

I've seen this Trig Point a few times now, given that TP claiming is Best Effort rather than standing on top of it, I'll log it and claim
