I'd missed this one on last year's journey up this way but today with only me in the car, it was a nice quick find at 10:20.
Thanks Geocaching Australia.

With a day off and only needing to pick up Swimmagurl from Griffith around 5pm, I decided on going the long way to find some caches. Many of these have been on the to-find-list for quite some time now, including the 2001 cache GC2F6F. I started the day by doing a maintenance run on my Different trail. Next I headed off to the Mid-Western Hwy to find the lone caches I haven’t found just yet out that way. When I got into Griffith, I attempted a few other caches that have been on the to-find-list. I found a mixture of both GC and GCA caches today with only one DNF which was on the last cache I attempted. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found for allowing them to bring enjoyment to the Geocaching Community. TFTC’s

#GA5365 - 16:05; Day one of a mission through the Central West of New South Wales with Sol de lune to grab some of the dragonZones to our west. Today's travels took us through Binalong, Temora, Barmedman, West Wyalong, Rankin Springs, Goolgowi, Hillston and finally Lake Cargelligo where we spent the night. Collecting finds in Temora, Bland, Carrathool and Lachlan dragonZones and counties along the way. Goolgowi looking very different from my last visit in the early eighties! TFTC Geocaching Australia

Out on a road trip with LuckyL10n to grab a few dragonZones in outback NSW that we still had to visit including Bland, Carrathool, Lachlan, Cobar, Brewarrina, Walgett, Coonamble as well as grabbing a few caches in previously visited zones. A fun 3 days with over 2200 klms notched up along the way. A visit to the little town of Carinda which is famous for a visit by David Bowie to record a film clip for one of his single releases, was a bit of a highlight. A neat pub with great food and a good sort of atmosphere. Well worth the drive off the main road to check it out. At $55 a night the accommodation, while basic, was not too bad.
This was one of the many trigs we found while out and about. No issues here and the required photo was soon snapped.
Thanks for another trig....

Adelaide Trip. May 2021. Day 10. This was the last day of the trip away, and it took me from to Hay to home via Rankin Springs and Cootamundra. I climbed a hill I have been avoiding for years and arrived home with plenty of time to unpack before dark.
A quick stop to get an image for this CORS.
Thanks

A long weekend brings with it a weekend of camping and caching. fitzy_1965 and I decided to do a loop from Goulburn out to Naranderra, Griffith, Condoblin and back home so I could pick up the last few counties out that way.
Today was heading from Griffith to Lake Cargelligo which turned into Condoblin. Quick park and snap.

It has taken us some time to work through all the photos we took whilst on our major excursion to get to Brisbane (for a family wedding) via Echuca, Griffith, Cobar, Bourke and Stanthorpe. It was a great trip, one which we will remember for a long time because of the very different landscape types that we went through, the unique characters of each of the towns visited, the wildlife (we hadn't seen very large flocks of emu roaming before)and the different community activities and tourist features.
It was very cold and wet as we headed off from Griffith towards Cobar. Along the way we stopped in Goolgowi and located the CORS antenna at the local sewage and waste water facility which was surrounded by a security fence. The photo added to the Gallery shows Mrs y'stassie standing in front of the security fence with the CORS antenna standing just the other side of an embankment. Thanks Geocaching Australia for the cache.

Had a long three days of caching with a total of 2054 km done! Enjoyed every minute of it despite some dissapointments as well. Most caches I found were really nice and in good condition, thanks to all the CO for putting them out there! Trip Kiama-down the Hume to Albury/Wodonga-Along the Murray to Cobram-back to NSW and via Hay to Ivanhoe=back down to Griffith-Temora-Yass and home.
