Menindee CORS
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Government Spatial Services is: Menindee CORS.
Serial number is: TS 12143.
(CORS Continually Operating Reference Stations) collecting geodetic data from GNSS.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the CORS, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the CORS.

In town for two nights for the usual reasons. Found a good hotel with good rates, and another with nice food.

A quick photograph in the splatter of rain; thunder rumbling overhead, strong wind whipping up dust. A day of foul weather, driving over the rough road from Ivanhoe. TFTC.

Having found all the B&W in the surrounding area, TG47 and I drove into town to collect a couple more caches. This was the first and was an easy one to find. Thanks for this series too Geocaching Australia.

another one where I uploaded my photo straight into the app, rather than taking a photo with my camera to upload. a film crew had taken over this entire area when we were there - quite a few trucks

We were staying out at Copi Hollow, (gorgeous spot with plenty of water in the lake), took a trip into Menindee to have a look around.

Visiting Menindee from Broken Hill - last time I was here the lake was full and Maidens Hotel was the original, it’s since burnt down and been re-built. Will also do a couple of Burke & Wills caches while here - do t use a camera and GPS anymore so including my red cap was the next best . TFTC
Travelling from Broken Hill to Wentworth today picking up as many GCA along the way.

Day 6 - and we travelled down from Broken Hill to Wentworth via Menindee. A good fun drive to collect this one.

West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 6. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from
Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. Having spent two great days in Broken
Hill, it was time to move on. We headed to Wentworth, but went via Menindee. It was a bit odd seeing
Lake Menindee completely empty, and Lake Pammeroo over full, BOM says 116% ! The country is showing a bit of
green, but it feels very dry.

Staying at Broken Hill for a couple of days we decided to explore Menindee and surrounds.
