Gallery of log for Luncheon Hill ST993
Found on the Easter Trip with Chris & Jess.
Took us a long time to get to this trig point.
As soon as we turned onto the spur road (not named on my map), we encounter lots of trees across the road.
We spent considerable time dragging by hand, cutting with bow saws and towing trees off the road so we could pass.
When we finally got to the gate, we found it open. I'm guessing that it was open to allow the fire crews up there to protect the assets in place.
The wildfires have definitely cleaned up the area, and changed the view. Although the trees are scored, most of them have new shoots on them and the native grasses have sprouted from the burnt bushes.
An excellent view from the top of the tower.
