Was eyeing this off for a while and eventually decided to make a run to get it. First I hopped on the train at Canberra and traveled 23 hrs to Brisbane. From there it was a 4am pick up from Brisbane to get to Toowoomba. After a brief 24 hour layover there it was back to Brisbane for another overnight break before renting a car and driving via Iluka and Harwood to Sapphire Beach. It was quite late by this time so we stopped at a local resort. Went to the Beach first and then with itchy feet finally drove to the headland jumped out of the rental car rushed to the Trig snapped a photo and it was done. Months of planning had come to fruition.
At least that's how I'm telling the story.
In all honestly while the trip as detailed is correct this was an opportunistic trig after stopping at Sapphire Beach and it was the first of only 2 caches I was able to get the entire trip.
