Scottsdale Rail Trail in north east Tasmania is along the old railway line from Scottsdale to Tonganah (10km) and then to Tulendeena(26km). It was opened in Nov 2015. It is a hilly , fine gravel track. At the start of the rail trail at the old train station in Scottsdale is a geocache "Rail Trail" . When I found the cache last week I decided to go and check out the Trail, unfortunately I got soaked to the skin and returned to the car to find I had a flat battery. The rail Trail looked great and I will return with my bike on a sunny, warmer day!
