Gallery of log for Australian Heritage
After the note I made yesterday the owner kindly sent me a message saying I could log the find without my GPS in the photo (thanks Patrick!).
Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park in Victoria is one of the most outstanding gold rush-era sites in Australia for the rare snapshot it gives us into how people lived and worked in 19th-century gold fields. Visitors can see well-preserved artifacts and diverse mining sites, including miner's huts, Chinese market gardens, stone footings, shallow shafts and the Garfield Water Wheel in a bush environment. The park is open to visitors, with some areas open for camping. Follow walking tracks, take part in guided tours and fossick for gold.

The photos I have taken are of the remains of a Welsh Village. There are plenty of ruins in the area, although when looking you need to be careful as there are plenty of unprotected mine shafts nearby.
