We had loaded up Scooby Doo (Car) & the Mystery Machine (Van and mobile GEO HQ) and headed off to Kingaroy QLD for the inaugural Baconfest. After checking into the Kingaroy Holiday Park (Recommended) we were all set for 3 days of celebrating all things bacon. Although apart from the event name, most of the weekend showcased pork rather than bacon.
With all that yummy bacon and pork on offer (the “Butchers Block’ meal in the RSL bistro is certainly a vegan free zone) we needed to do a bit in between to stop the arteries hardening completely, what better way to do it than chase a few caches.
One of a few easy finds on a Saturday wake up cache cruise before heading to Baconfest.
What a pity all Australians don’t value the history and heritage of all Australians, sadly neglected the signs are unreadable and have been vandalised.
We took nothing but memories; we left nothing but footprints.
