Gallery of log for Lighthouses of NSW - Point Stephens Lighthouse

05-Feb-19
We had planned this trip to One Mile Beach last year but each time we were thinking of going, the weather changed for the worse. So with school holls over and no SES this week, we headed up here. The original plan was for MrT to paddle his Kayak to the Island, but a local resident working in the caravan park told us that there was a good build up of sand on the spit and it was possible to walk across it almost at all levels of the tide! So MrT said he would walk it, and left from the nearby surf club 2 hrs after high tide (just in case!) He had the GC Virtual to get info for, then the GA lighthouse trig and virtual. He didn't have a camera but could take photos with his GPS. So the attached photo doesn't have him in it, but the strap from his GPS can be seen as a fuzzy shadow on the bottom of the photo!! After getting the required photos etc he headed back to the car at the surf club. It took approximately him 8km and 2 hours to do!. TFTV
