I bought this grevillea from the small native nursery Mt Annan Botanical Gardens. It was one of two, the other died quite soon, but this one stuck around. They were two very different styles of grevillea, one with a stunning flower, and one that had small flowers with the scent of vanilla. I love vanilla so I just had to have it. Now I must have got things messed up because I thought the vanilla smelling one had died, until these little tiny flowers emerged and I could smell their sweet aroma. So I now present grevillea paniculata, the vanilla scented Aussie native.
