Pyjama Game
Where it all began, our lifelong connection with the theatre.
In 1969 I was a Law Clerk and one of the solicitors I was working for, Lance Woodhouse, suggested that Rich and I could enhance our social life by going along to rehearsals for this show. He was the Musical Director. Rich said he couldn’t sing but Lance told him they needed men to build the sets, and told him all he had to do was turn up with a hammer, and they would show him what to do.
I luckily scored a place in the chorus, and Rich has been building sets, painting them, operating lights, and has had leading parts in lots of local productions ever since.
We made so many friends through the theatre that I’ll be forever grateful to Lance and this production.
Thanks Smittengranny for this series, it has brought back many wonderful memories.
