I used to visit Lagoon Bay as a child when the Annual Sunday School picnic was held here. Nothing here then other than a clearing behind the pines but a nice sandy sheltered beach to play on. After a picnic lunch there were a variety of races organized. Now it is a fully developed BBQ area with play equipment and toilets thanks to the George Town Lions Club. The beach however has deteriorated as most of the sand has been washed away in the area we used as children.
