After finding the nearby cache it made sense to push on through the bamboo and make out way to the trig. We pushed on through the damp rainforest and then made out way up to cairn. Found a few very rusted pieces of metal near GZ and wondered if they might have been part of the trig, or the lost lookout that was nearby once upon a time.

Can't help thinking of how things must have been up here when the lookouts were all accessible and the forest was more 'tame'. Would have been a great place to explore with some amazing views of both NSW and QLD.
