Back in QLD after a great weekend trig hunting and geocaching in NSW. I was back earlier than predicted so had time for further exploration. I decided to check out Philp Mountain Road. I want to explore Levers Plateau. There's a waterfall and trig station I want to get to one day so I drove up this road to try to find access to the border fence. A sign greeted me at the start of road "NO ACCESS TO NSW"..... not technically true. Let's check it out..

The first thing I noticed while driving this road are the stunning views towards some of SE QLDs more iconic mountains. Another sign greeted me "4WD VEHICLES ONLY PAST THIS POINT" This is no joke, it's VERY steep (30%). While heading towards the end of the road I decided to first check out this trig point. An easy park and a brief walk. There's not much to see here. A gal witness post is all you'll get. Welcome back to Queensland haha. Time to continue my recce. A future log will continue the story..
