The Goonelabah Aquatic and sports Centre was the evacuation centre during the devastating floods in 2022. We had a family member and their family loose everything they owned when the flood waters went over the top of their house. This photo is of the food distribution section, where anyone could receive plenty of food and cleaning items that had been generously donated. Other parts of the large complex had clothing, manchester etc. People were sleeping on the ground outside of the centre as the inside of the complex was full to capacity. It was very heartwarming to see the community from far and wide help in so many ways.
