Gallery of log for Mount Remarkable

26-Jan-11
FTF and OMG. Shocked One for Australia Day and Mrs M's family history. Her great, great Granny Gray (Elizabeth) lived in these hills. Her pug and pine cottage is still occupied and used as a residence in Melrose. Her previous residence where she lived on top of Mt Remarkable with her husband, Sampson Gray, can be found reconstructed in the local history museum. This must be the most neglected trig around as it looks like it was dragged up the hill before being erected. Or maybe it has just waited such a long time to be found!! Well done Mr M. Clapping This one is flagged as 'worth stopping' because you wouldn't want to go any further!! A 12.2km return journey is a very long way especially when it is 37 degrees.
